The Dream Faith Ministry Team uses puppets to learn about what it means to follow Jesus and then performs skits and songs to share those lessons with others. The team is open to ANYONE in 3rd grade or older, no matter where you go to church. The team is divided into two groups for rehearsals and smaller performances. One group is dedicated to 3rd through 6th graders and concentrates on the basics of operating a puppet and what it takes to put together a show. The other group is for 7th graders on up and concentrates on a bit more advanced skills. Both groups will come together for larger performances and fellowship opportunities.
The Dream Faith Team participates in various St. Stephen worship services throughout the year, usually including special Christmas Eve and Easter performances. In the past, we've performed on Thursday evenings during the summer at White Bear Lake's Marketfest, and we plan to do that this summer, too! The team holds monthly evening retreats during the school year to do a little extra practicing, but also to have a lot of extra fun together! There are also some really fun fellowship "field trip" events!
We also work together to help out where we can with service projects both for St. Stephen as well as for the surrounding community. For Christmas of 2010, we were able to sponsor 7 families through 102.9FM/The Salvation Army's Adopt-A-family program, and we hope to continue and expand on that.

You get to choose how much or how little you'd like to do. If you are not interested in performing, there are many other chances to be involved. We can always use help building sets, putting together costumes, or organizing an event. We'd love to have you be a part of things! If you are interested, please send an e-mail to office@ststephenwbl.org with the word "Puppets" in the subject line.
Practice is on Sunday mornings at St. Stephen:
10:30 to 11:30 am (Sept. to May)
11:00 am to 1:00 pm (June to Aug)
