Welcome to GAP!

So we Praise God for the glorious Grace He has poured out on us who belong to His dear Son-Ephesians 1:6

What is GAP?

GAP is a casual, intergenerational time of worship. This worship is meant to give us time to praise God and deepen our faith in new ways as a community. Each week, GAP addresses a theme that is relevant to our lives. We use music, skits, scripture, prayers, and meditational talks as a way to think about important topics in new ways. Wherever you may be in your walk of life, we invite you to come and join us here at GAP.

When is GAP?

GAP happens at 6pm every Wednesday at St. Stephen Lutheran Church. Come at 5:30 for a home-cooked meal! We can’t wait to see you there!

Who is GAP for?

Everyone is welcome at GAP! GAP is perfect for families who enjoy going to cabins or have other commitments on weekends. It is a wonderful way to relax and reflect midweek. GAP incorporates many forms of worship in order to provide a meaningful experience for people of every age.

We know how busy your life is. GAP is meant to work with your busy schedule, to give you and your family just a little time each week to relax and reflect. Don’t have time to cook? Come and enjoy a hot, home-cooked meal each week at 5:30. Don’t have time to worship on weekends? Come and enjoy time in worship and community at GAP! We are here for you!

GAP Drama Team

The GAP drama team writes and performs skits each week. These skits are tailored to help us visualize the weekly theme and ask new questions about real topics. Check out the video below to see the GAP drama team's video skit of the poem 'Footprints in the Sand.'

Captured Spirit

Captured Spirit is the Youth Choir at St. Stephen. They offer up their musical talents for special music at GAP once a month.

Dream Faith Puppet Team

The Dream Faith Puppet team has been providing meaningful ministry through puppets for six years at St. Stephen. They provide skits relevant to the weekly theme once a month.

Pastoral Staff

Pastor Jim Woodruff has been a Pastor at St. Stephen for 18 years. He provides leadership and meditational talks at GAP, connecting the weekly theme to our lives.

Pastor Susan Schoon is the Visitation Pastor at St. Stephen Lutheran. She occasionally provides meditations for the GAP service.

You!

We want people like you to share your talents with GAP. We are always looking for people interested in serving in a welcoming, faith-based community.

Ways you can get involved

Music-We are always looking for artists who want to share their musical talents. Any experience level is welcome and invited to share your gifts in this supportive setting.

Drama-Help make the skits on Wednesday nights special! We are looking for people who don’t mind looking ridiculous and having fun doing it! You can assist on stage or off. We are always looking for actors and backstage help.

Puppets-The puppet team is looking for energetic people who love Jesus and puppets! Join this team to share God’s word in this innovative way. (puppeteers 2nd-12th grade. Adult-ish volunteers also welcome.)

Lectors-Volunteer to read our weekly lesson and share God’s word!

There are so many other ways to get involved! Be a greeter, help prepare the evening meal, offer up your skills as a technician; everyone has talents, and we want you to share yours!

Questions?

We hope so!
