On July 12, Fourteen members of St. Stephen will travel to Tanzania to visit our sister parish of Lukani. Ten of these missionaries are repeat travelers, having made a previous trip in the summer of 2001.
The returning members of the team are: Ken, Karen, Caitlin and Courtney Smith, Bill and Sara Van Essendelft, Cheryl Grasmoen, Jim and Justin Woodruff and Lorna Peck. New this trip are: Pete and Mary Lou Linder, Corrie Manning and Carrie Buck.
Preparations consist of countless planning meetings, including sessions with missionaries Arne and Mary Bloomquist. Arne and Mary spend months each year in Tanzania and are credited with being the American founders of Tumaini University.

A fund raising dinner was held with the entertainment provided by the team.

In attendance were Don and Eunice Fultz, Companion Congregation Coordinators for the St Paul Area Synod, as well as frequent travelers to Iringa.
