Pastor Larry C. Johnson
" Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth."
(Isaiah 40:28)
I was raised in Trimont, MN and went to college at Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter. I graduated from what is now Luther Seminary in St. Paul. I was a parish pastor for 20 years in the areas of Aikin/Malmo and Duluth. I have been an intentional interim pastor and church consultant since 1995. This means that I have specialized in working with congregations in transition. Most of the interims have been in MN but I did serve one in Texas as well. My wife Kathy and I have 4 adult children (3 of whom are married). We currently have 2 grandchildren with another scheduled to arrive in March. (One granddaughter died at age 4 in 2002.) My interests include biking, hiking, camping by canoe in the BWCA, x/c skiing and camping in the winter, and reading—especially American civil war history, and thinking about turning my dreams of homesteading projects into reality when we buy our retirement acres. I love baseball and am an avid Twins fan…when it comes to football I tend to favor the Vikings over the Packers and apologize to the world that my oldest daughter is a "cheesehead".
